THE KIPPEWA.
One of the two ferries that operated on the Bell Island tickle during the boom days. The other was the Maneco. Some of us remember the challenge of trying to maneuver a car onto the deck of one those little ferries when the water was rough or the tide was low. Ironically, it was only after almost everyone left the island that an adequate ferry service was provided.
